As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.\nSalary: $20- $30/hr DOE\nResponsibilities\nSets up and conducts environmental simulation tests specifically focused on Dynamics: Vibration and Shock, but also including\nClimatics: Temperature/Humidity, Thermal Shock, Salt Spray, HALT, IP and NEMA Spray, Drop, Compression, Cargo Bounce,\nAccelerated Weathering, Acceleration, Altitude, Thermal Vacuum, and Pressure.\nDocuments test setup, progression, and results\nOrganizes and documents data for each assigned project in the project’s test log\nMaintains in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation\nInteracts with customers during the testing process, periodically assists with troubleshooting and development and schedule modifications\nPerforms preventive maintenance on test and support equipment\nPerforms responsibilities in compliance with all Company policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, Trade\nCompliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and Employee Handbook\nPerforms responsibilities in adherence to all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to safety, environment, and corporate governance\nApplies the principals of 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) in the performance of daily work responsibilities to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work area\nAbides by and ensures that all duties are performed in accordance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE), Trade\nCompliance, and Quality practices, policies, and regulations\nMaintains customer confidentiality at all times\nSkills / Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of laboratory safety\n\nHS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed\n\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a testing related field - dynamics testing preferred\n\nAnalyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed\n\nBasic understanding of testing concepts- dynamics preferred\n\nPossess computer skills\n\nAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus\n\nPhysical Demands:\nFrequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)\nLifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion\nAbility to stand on feet for long periods of time\nAbility to lift 50+lbs periodically\nWilling to work split shift or overnight shift to support testing when needed.\nCompany Overview\nElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
