OverviewElement has an opportunity for an analytical chemist working in the inorganic section analysing waters and soils using traditional wet techniques and instrumentation. ResponsibilitiesAnalytical laboratory inorganic chemists with wet chemistry and instrument operation experience to work unsupervised in the inorganic section Assist in Preparing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) review update planning and implementation according to the guidelines ISO 17025 protocols Assist in modifying the existing analytical SOPs as and when required Setting up new analytical methods Maintain quality records in the laboratory as per ISO 17025 Adhere to a comprehensive ISO 17025 quality system Efficiently utilise the LIMS systems Skills / QualificationsHave a diploma / degree in chemistry with at least 1 to 3 years experience in similar role 1 year minimum of experience in a laboratory with ISO 17025 accreditation.
