The ideal candidate is technically strong, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.\nNote: This is an on-site position at our Blue Ash corporate services HQ. You are expected to be in the office Monday-Thursday. You are able to work remotely on Friday.\nResponsibilities\nOwn the full monthly accounting cycle for assigned labs, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.\nLead month-end and close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.\nAnalyze financial results and investigate variances, providing meaningful insights to management and operational leaders.\nPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.\nManage accounting entries for payroll, fixed assets, prepaids, and other key accounting areas.\nTrack progess on capital projects and oversee fixed asset capitalization and depreciation.\nSupport the close and consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations and error resolution.\nPartner with operational leadership and functional departments to support operational and financial decision-making.\nAssist with external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.\nSupport process improvement initiatives, strengthen internal controls, and drive efficiencies across accounting operations. \nSkills / Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline required.\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility.\nStrong understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.\nCompany Overview\nElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
