Direct wastewater experience is preferred but not required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training for motivated individuals with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.\nThe successful candidate will receive onsite training on Element Hartford's waste treatment systems, processes, procedures, and applicable requirements.\nCompensation: $22.50- $30.00 per hour\nResponsibilities\nMonitor and maintain an onsite waste treatment system\nTrack pH levels, flow rates, and chemical usageRefill and handle treatment chemicals safely\nPerform routine equipment checks and basic instrument calibration\nMaintain accurate operational logs and documentation\nSupport waste handling, labeling, and disposal processes\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and escalate system issues as needed\nPartner with maintenance personnel, environmental consultants, and regulatory representatives when required\nFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirements\nSkills / Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work safely around chemicals and industrial equipment\nGood communication and documentation skills\nAbility to meet physical requirements, including walking, climbing stairs, and lifting as needed\nPreferred:\nWastewater treatment or industrial waste management experience\nChemical handling or chemical processing experience\nExperience with pH testing, instrumentation, or calibration\nEnvironmental, regulatory, or compliance exposure\nManufacturing, maintenance, or process operations experience\nStrong safety record and commitment to safe work practices\nCompany Overview\nElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
