Our next-generation computing machines under development will be able to find solutions to problems that are out of reach today, thus enabling new innovative products and services for a brighter future.\nWe are looking for an RF Application Engineer (m/f/d) to test, validate, and optimize RF subsystems at the core of our trapped-ion quantum computing platform in Siegen.\nResponsibilities:\nAs a RF application engineer in the Electronic Engineering Team, you will play a key role in testing, characterizing, validating, and integrating RF systems that support our next-generation quantum computing platforms. In this role, you will work closely with our international team of physicists and engineers to develop, characterize, debug, and optimize high-frequency electronic hardware systems in advanced laboratory environments.\nSetting up, integrate, configure, and validate low-noise DC and RF electronic hardware components and subsystems within our quantum computing platforms.\n\nSupport system operation, bring-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electronic subassemblies, control systems, and laboratory equipment.\n\nCollaborate closely with engineering and firmware teams to develop and integrate RF subsystems for next-generation quantum technologies.\n\nTake ownership of developing new validation protocols and defining characterization standards.\n\nRequirements\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor’s or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, RF/Microwave Engineering, Physics, or a related field\n\n3-5 years of professional experiencein electronics engineering, application engineering, hardware integration, or a comparable technical role.\n\nHands-on experience with high-speed digital and RF hardware systems.\n\nStrong understanding of RF systems, including RF measurements, debugging, and hardware validation.\n\nExperience in installing, integrating, and validating RF hardware subsystems in laboratory environments.\n\nExperience with laboratory equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.\n\nExcellent organisational skills.\n\nStructured, analytical working style with strong ownership and execution focus.\n\nFluent English.\n\nWe value:\nExperience with high-frequency system design.\n\nExperience with Python or a similar scripting language for data analysis\n\nWhat you can expect from eleQtron:\nCompetitive salary: We value our team members and therefore provide remunerations that reflect this, additionally rewarding achievements.\n\nFlexible working hours: We offer personal freedom through a variety of flexible work schedules\n\nTeam spirit: In our international and diverse team, and with our regular team events, having fun at work is simply part of the culture\n\nFurther development: We want to grow together and so we offer our team members needs-based, individualized further training as well as plenty of room for personal development\n\nWellness Package: We offer health-promoting benefits such as fitness programs like UrbanSportsClub to support your well-being\n\nBike Leasing: Stay Mobile and Sustainable with Our Company Bike Leasing Program\n\nMoving Benefits: A warm welcome!
