Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.\nPlease note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.\nThe Engineer Lead Sr. i s responsible for leading the end to end application system development and maintenance on large complex enterprise wide technology platforms.\nHow you will make an impact:\nMaintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business.\nLeads efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products.\nAnticipates broad technical change and ensures that company technology stays ahead of the curve.\nPrioritize projects and make trade-offs with respect to the enterprise systems changes based on broader business needs.\nUnderstands the entire architecture for a major part of our business and is able to articulate the scaling and reliability limits.\nOwns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary.\nDevelops and owns list of final enhancements.\nDevelops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.\nPerforms technical design reviews and code reviews.\nEnsures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.\nResponsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort.\nMay participates in developing the multi-year technology strategy for critical areas of the business that may encompass multiple systems.\nPartners with technical and non technical stakeholder to identify the long term technical trajectory of the technology infrastructure.\nCreates architecture and anticipates future technology needs. \nLeads the conversations internally about the direction of major areas of the technology, drives wide-team consensus to the adoption of this direction, and uses this direction when engaging engineers.\nCoordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.\nReviews and monitors initiatives for end to end impact and coordination. \nParticipates in review and decision making for enterprise solutions. \nMinimum Requirements:\nRequires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study, and a minimum of 9 years experience; experience with multi dimensional platforms, and business and technical applications required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.\nPreferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:\nExperience mentoring others drive teams to achieve results, lead multiple or large projects and provide troubleshooting supports strongly preferred.\nMulti database and/or multi language strongly preferred.\nExperience in health care industry strongly preferred.\nExperience with monolithic, layered, service-oriented, and microservices architectures.\nKnowledge of event-driven architecture, API-first design, and distributed systems and understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or infrastructure automation is preferred.\nExperience with message brokers or event platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or AWS SNS/SQS.\nExperience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL and testing frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit, xUnit, Jest, PyTest, or similar. \nExperience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, or Cassandra.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. \nExperience with software development frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, React, Angular, or similar.\nProgramming skills in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Go.\nJob Level:\nNon-Manager Exempt NAIM AccessWorkshift:\nJob Family:\nIFT > Engineering/DevPlease be advised that Elevance Health only accepts resumes for compensation from agencies that have a signed agreement with Elevance Health.
