We are looking for a Chemistry and Biology Teacher for a bilingual school based in Shanghai. This is a position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year starting in August 2026.

A bilingual school situated in the heart of Shanghai's Huangpu District, providing bilingual teaching to students from first grade to the 12th grade of elementary, middle and high school. The school follows the Chinese national curriculum and incorporates elements of the British IGCSE and A-Level curriculums to meet the academic needs of its students, with a strong track record of graduates progressing to leading UK and world-ranked universities.
Job details
- Teach the school's Chemistry and Biology subjects to students aged 11 to 18 years old
- Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
- Co-teach with Chinese teachers and be prepared to develop and improve school-based curriculum
- Assess and monitor students' progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Biology or a related science field
- Teaching qualification
- At least two years' teaching experience
- Ability to teach both Chemistry and Biology at secondary level
- Experience of A-Level or IGCSE students will be beneficial
- Excellent English communicative skills
