Primary School English ESL Teacher

We are looking for an English ESL Teacher for a private Primary School based in Chengdu. This is a full-time position starting in the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year in August 2026.

About the school

Located in Wuhou District in Chengdu, between the third and fourth ring roads, this distinguished private school offers a comprehensive educational program for children aged 6 to 15. The institution is divided into two main sections: a primary school serving students from first to fifth grade, and a middle school catering to sixth through ninth graders. The program specifically provides education for students from first to seventh grade, covering ages 6 to 13.

Job details

• Teaching English courses (ESL) to primary school students in grade 1 to grade 7 and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
• Develop supportive and safe learning environments
• No more than 20 English classes a week from 8am to 5pm (subject to school schedule), Monday to Fridays

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or above
• Excellent English communications skills
• Minimum TESOL/TESL/TEFL qualification
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience, with teaching experience of students aged 6 to 15 preferred
