{"id":138181,"url":"https://alion.io/job/elevate-semiconductor-senior-npi-test-engineer-semiconductor","title":"Senior ATE Test Engineer","company":{"id":5777,"name":"Elevate Semiconductor","domain":"elevatesemi.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/elevate-semiconductor","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workable","truth_index":null},"role":"Industrial Engineering","role_family":"Industrial Engineering","seniority":"senior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["San Diego, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":125000,"max":180000,"currency":"USD","period":"year","gross":null,"usd_annual":180000},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":6,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Python","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-06T21:29:45Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-06","last_verified_at":"2026-10-18T01:04:22Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":11,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":11},"description":"We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead the development and execution of test solutions for precision analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits used in memory, AI, high-performance computing, and automated test equipment (ATE) applications.\nThis role owns the production test strategy from first silicon through high-volume manufacturing and works closely with Design, Product Engineering, Applications, Quality, Operations, and external manufacturing partners to deliver robust, cost-effective production solutions.\nResponsibilities\nLead activities from first silicon through production release for precision analog and mixed-signal IC products.\nDevelop complete production test solutions for wafer sort and final test using Teradyne UltraFlex IGXL and associated handlers/probers.\nCorrelate bench measurements with ATE results and establish production test limits using statistical analysis and characterization data.\nDevelop and optimize production test programs for precision DACs, current source/sink products, PMICs, analog interface ICs.\nDesign, debug, and validate load boards, probe cards, sockets, and production hardware in collaboration with external vendors.\nDrive multisite optimization, parallel testing, throughput improvement, and overall manufacturing cost reduction.\nPerform silicon debug and root-cause analysis for design, process, package, and test related issues.\nWork closely with IC Design during schematic reviews, silicon bring-up, and Design-for-Test (DFT) planning.\nSupport qualification, reliability, HTOL, characterization, and customer qualification activities.\nDevelop production release documentation including correlation reports, GR&R studies, guard-banding analysis, and manufacturing specifications.\nTransfer products into OSAT and high-volume manufacturing while providing engineering support during production ramp.\nDevelop automation tools using Python, JMP, and data analytics to improve engineering productivity and manufacturing quality.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field\n6 plus years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, ideally with analog or mixed signal ICs\nExperience with Teradyne UltraFlex and or Verigy SmartScale or PinScale platforms\nUnderstanding of analog testing principles and methodologies\nExperience with vector translation tools such as Velocity or Test Insight\nFamiliarity with scan testing, JTAG, memory BIST, and loopback techniques\nStrong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail\nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams\nPreferences\nExperience with test hardware development including load boards, probe cards, and sockets\nExposure to high volume manufacturing environments and offshore vendors\nExperience with wafer level testing and multi-site optimization\nFamiliarity with analog simulation tools and testbench correlation\nInterest in process improvement and test automation\nThe anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 to $180,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, location, and business needs.\nIn addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
