Over time, you'll begin supervising junior team members, reviewing work, improving processes, and serving as the operational backbone of our accounting practice.\nThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on accounting and leadership.\nWhat You'll Do\nClient Accounting\nManage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts\nPerform monthly reconciliations and close processes\nPrepare and review financial statements\nMaintain accurate general ledger records\nEnsure high-quality client deliverables\nTax Support\nPrepare and review business and individual tax returns\nAssist with tax planning and compliance\nResearch accounting and tax issues as needed\nSupport clients throughout tax season\nTeam Leadership\nMentor and supervise junior accounting staff\nReview work for accuracy and completeness\nImprove workflows, documentation, and quality control\nHelp build and scale the accounting team over time\nServe as the first point of escalation for accounting questions\nClient Service\nCommunicate professionally with clients\nResolve accounting issues proactively\nManage deadlines across multiple engagements\nDeliver consistent, accurate work with minimal supervision\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\n5-7+ years of public accounting or client accounting experience\nExperience with Drake Tax, and TaxDome required\nExperience with QuickBooks Online is required\nStrong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals\nExperience preparing business and/or individual tax returns\nAbility to manage multiple clients simultaneously\nExcellent attention to detail\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nExcellent written and spoken English\nAbility to work independently with minimal oversight\nLeadership Experience\nExperience reviewing the work of other accountants or bookkeepers\nComfortable training and mentoring junior team members\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills\nAble to take ownership of projects and improve processes\nQualifications\nCPA or CPA candidate preferred\nExperience working in a U.S. CPA firm\nExperience managing remote teams\nWho Will Thrive in This Role\nWe're looking for someone who is:\nHighly reliable and dependable\nProactive rather than reactive\nComfortable taking ownership\nCalm under deadlines\nDetail-oriented without sacrificing efficiency\nInterested in growing into a long-term leadership position\nWhat Success Looks Like\nWithin your first 6-12 months, you'll:\nIndependently manage a portfolio of client accounts\nDeliver consistently accurate bookkeeping and tax work\nRequire minimal oversight\nBegin supervising and developing junior accounting staff\nHelp improve internal processes as the firm continues to grow\nWhy Join Us?\nFully remote position\nOpportunity to build and lead a growing accounting team\nExposure to bookkeeping, tax, CFO advisory, and M&A work\nLong-term career growth in a high-impact role\nWork directly with an experienced CPA and former Wall Street finance professional\nBenefits\nClient Relationship: You will be directly working with the client.
