Candidates in this role will:\nDesign, develop, and maintain backend functionality within applications using Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Opensearch and PostgreSQL.\nDevelop and maintain backend services and REST APIs, including request validation, error handling, and authentication and authorization integration.\nUse Pydantic for data validation and SQLAlchemy for database access and object-relational mapping in Python services.\nDesign and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, and database migrations, with attention to performance and data integrity.\nBuild and maintain Docker images and deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications in OpenShift.\nInvestigate and resolve production issues across the user interface, backend services, database, and application deployment.\nWork with customers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, and estimate implementation effort.\nParticipate in technical design and code reviews, write automated tests, and maintain technical documentation.\nMentor developers and collaborate with operations and security teams to support reliable application delivery.\nPay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
