As a QA Engineer on our audio team, you'll help make sure every product sounds right and works reliably on Windows and macOS.\nYou'll plan, write and run tests for our audio software and hardware. You'll work closely with developers to find, reproduce and fix issues, and you'll keep our test catalog growing as the product line grows. This role needs real passion for, and hands-on experience with, PC audio.\nWhat You'll Work On\nAudio software such as Wave Link, and the firmware/driver layer behind it\nUSB and XLR microphones, audio interfaces and related hardware\nIntegration with DAWs, streaming tools and the wider OS audio stack\nYour Responsibilities\nDesign & maintain tests: Write, update and organize test cases covering features, regressions and hardware/OS combinations.\nTest & investigate: Run structured and exploratory tests. Find, reproduce, document and track bugs through to resolution.\nAnalyze failures: Work with developers to find root causes, from routing and latency problems to driver and device issues.\nCollaborate: Get involved early in new features so test coverage is planned from the start, not added afterwards.\nDocument: Keep test cases, processes and results clear, current and easy for the team to use.\nYour Profile\nAudio expertise: Solid knowledge of PC audio systems on Windows and macOS: DAWs, audio interfaces, drivers, sample rates/buffer sizes, and VST/AU plugins.\nQuality mindset: You care about the details that separate good products from great ones, in both software and hardware.\nAnalytical thinking: You enjoy solving problems methodically and can narrow a vague report down to clear repro steps.\nTeam player: You communicate clearly and like working in a collaborative, cross-functional team.\nLanguages: Fluent German and proficient English.\nNice to Have\nExperience with audio measurements (e.g., frequency response, THD+N, latency)\nISTQB certification\nExperience with test automation","description_format":"text","description_chars":2058,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"German","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Computer Peripherals"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-06T15:05:01Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":62,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.62,"p_room":1,"age_days":16,"expected_fill_days":64,"reasons":["conf:9","stale_co","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-23T05:54:15Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/elgato-audio-qa-engineer-elgato","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/elgato-audio-qa-engineer-elgato.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-23T15:56:14Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":23989,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-24T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":714844},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=714844"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Felgato-audio-qa-engineer-elgato"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Felgato-audio-qa-engineer-elgato"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Felgato-audio-qa-engineer-elgato"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/elgato-audio-qa-engineer-elgato\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Felgato-audio-qa-engineer-elgato"}]}
