You’ll own features end to end across our mobile app and backend, from the first design review to production, and help set the bar for how the team builds and ships software. Your primary responsibilities will be to:\nDesign, build and ship features end to end across our React Native app and TypeScript backend.\n\nOwn what you ship once it’s in production: monitor it, investigate incidents, and fix root causes rather than symptoms.\n\nMake and document technical decisions on architecture, APIs and data models, weighing speed today against cost later.\n\nReview code and mentor other developers so the whole team ships faster, with fewer defects.\n\nWork with product, design and QA to shape features before the code is written.\n\nImprove our tooling, tests and CI/CD pipelines so releases stay fast and safe as the app grows.\n\nTreat privacy, security and data integrity as part of the job, since our users trust us with their health data.\n\nThis description is not exhaustive. We are looking for someone who has built and run software that real customers depend on, makes sound technical decisions with incomplete information, and makes the people around them better.\nAbout you\nYou have 5+ years of professional software development experience, building and operating production software. You’ve owned systems end to end, not just tickets.\n\nYou have production experience on a mobile app and/or a Node.js backend, and the willingness to work across both.\n\nYou have experience designing APIs and data models.\n\nYou can walk us through a system or feature you designed, shipped and maintained in production.\n\nYou solve hard, ambiguous problems well and explain your reasoning clearly in writing.\n\nYou’re pragmatic: you know when to ship the simple version and when to invest in doing it right.\n\nYou’re fluent in English (written and spoken) and able to work from our office.\n\n(Advantage) You have experience with NestJS, TypeORM or a similar backend framework.\n\n(Advantage) You have native iOS or Android experience (Swift, Kotlin), or React Native, especially with the camera.\n\n(Advantage) You have experience with Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery).\n\n(Advantage) You have worked at an early-stage startup or have an interest in digital health.\n\nIf you don’t exactly match the description but still believe you are the right person to join the team, please reach out.
