We help customers turn digital ambition into successful implementation through close collaboration, humility, and pride in what we deliver.\nAbout the RoleELITS Canada is looking for an experienced Azure API Engineer for a remote consulting assignment based in Canada.\nIn this role, you will support the continued development of anIntegration Hub built on Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM) and full stack, with the goal of evolving the platform into a modern internal developer platform. You will combine hands on engineering with technical ownership across API management, developer portals, cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform improvement.\nResponsibilities\nConfigure, maintain, and enhance Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM), including API onboarding, backend integrations, routing, gateway policies, and traffic controls.\n\nImplement and maintain API authentication, authorization, security, and lifecycle management practices.\n\nDevelop, customize, and maintain full stack as the central developer portal for the Integration Hub.\n\nManage API catalog entries, documentation, ownership information, metadata, and integrations across connected systems.\n\nBuild automated API specification validation, linting, and quality controls, and integrate them into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)pipelines.\n\nAutomate platform deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), while supporting monitoring, observability, and operational reliability.\n\nTroubleshoot issues across API gateways, developer portals, catalog integrations, applications, and cloud infrastructure; create documentation and drive continuous platform improvements.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s degree or higherin Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant professional experience.\n\nStrong hands on experience with Microsoft Azure API Management or a comparable API management platform.\n\nExperience developing or extending full stackor a similar internal developer portal.\n\nSolid understanding of Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and API lifecycle management.\n\nStrong development skills in TypeScriptandJavaScript,includingNode.jsandReact.\n\nExperience with API securityconcepts, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JSON Web Tokens (JWT).\n\nExperience with Git based development, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Bicep, or similar Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.\n\nQualities\nCommunicative, positive, and customer oriented.\n\nStrong analytical skills, logical reasoning, and problem solving abilities.\n\nResponsible, autonomous, and resourceful.\n\nTeam oriented, organized, and committed to quality results.\n\nCreative and proactive, with ideas to improve products and processes.\n\nAble to coordinate and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.\n\nAre you a social, flexible, and structured person with a great interest in information technology?
