issues, including missed collections, non-deliveries and late deliveries.\n\nExperience in fleet coordination and management.\n\nExperience in people management, team development and performance management.\n\nTechnical Knowledge and Computer Skills\nStrong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, email and reporting systems.\n\nAbility to analyse operational information and prepare reports.\n\nGeographical knowledge of South Africa.\n\nKnowledge of FW systems will be advantageous.\n\nUnderstanding of route planning, linehaul scheduling, proof of delivery (POD) processes Human Resources\nLead, manage and motivate operational teams to achieve business objectives.\n\nAssist with recruitment, assessment, training and development of employees.\n\nSupport performance management, discipline and team-building initiatives.\n\nDevelop employees and promote accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.\n\nMonitor team performance and address operational or personnel challenges.\n\nOperations and Linehaul Management\nOversee daily courier operations and linehaul activities.\n\nMonitor departure and arrival times to ensure operational schedules are maintained.\n\nCoordinate linehaul movements and address delays or operational disruptions.\n\nEnsure that collections, deliveries and shipment processing are completed efficiently.\n\nDevelop contingency plans to minimise disruptions and maintain service continuity.\n\nCustomer Service and Service Standards\nMonitor service delivery performance and ensure that customer expectations are met.\n\nInvestigate and address missed collections, non-deliveries and late deliveries.\n\nImplement corrective actions to improve service levels.\n\nWork with relevant teams to resolve customer complaints and operational queries.\n\nPromote a customer-focused culture throughout the operation.\n\nRoute Planning and Productivity\nOversee route planning and analyse route productivity.\n\nIdentify inefficiencies and implement corrective measures.\n\nMonitor operational performance and recommend improvements.\n\nEnsure that routes and resources are used efficiently to achieve service and productivity targets.\n\nFleet Management\nCoordinate fleet allocation to meet operational requirements.\n\nMonitor vehicle maintenance, repairs and maintenance (R&M), and vehicle availability.\n\nDevelop backup plans to address vehicle breakdowns and operational incidents.\n\nInvestigate and report accidents and incidents.\n\nMaintain appropriate fleet standards, safety and professional vehicle presentation.\n\nWarehouse, Yard and Shipment Processing\nOversee warehouse and yard activities, including scanning, stock rotation, housekeeping and security.\n\nMonitor shipment processing, packaging, loading and offloading.\n\nEnsure the appropriate handling of shipments and operational materials.\n\nMaintain accurate scanning and shipment records.\n\nPromote an orderly, secure and efficient working environment.\n\nThird-Party Management\nMonitor the performance and service delivery of third-party service providers.\n\nEnsure that external partners meet required operational standards.\n\nAddress service deficiencies and implement corrective actions where necessary.\n\nProof of Delivery (POD) Management\nOversee POD processes and ensure that delivery documentation is completed and processed accurately.\n\nMonitor outstanding PODs and resolve related discrepancies.\n\nEnsure that POD information is available for operational reporting and customer queries.\n\nHealth, Safety and Compliance\nEnsure compliance with applicable health and safety requirements.\n\nMonitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\n\nPromote safe working practices across operational areas.\n\nEnsure that incidents and accidents are reported and addressed appropriately.\n\nGeneral Operational Management\nMonitor operational performance against agreed targets.\n\nPrepare and review operational reports to support management decisions.\n\nIdentify opportunities for improved productivity, efficiency and service delivery.\n\nMaintain effective communication with internal departments and external stakeholders.\n\nAdapt to changing business requirements and undertake additional duties when necessary.\n\nRecruitment and Assessment
