Weekend and public holiday work will be required when necessary.\nWorking Conditions\nMust be comfortable working in a manufacturing and cold store environment.\n\nMust be willing to work weekly rotating day and night shifts.\n\nMust be available to work weekends and public holidays when required.\n\nMust be flexible regarding working hours and changing operational requirements.\n\nRequirements and Qualifications\nEducational Qualifications\nGrade 12 (Matric) - essential.\n\nA tertiary qualification in Warehouse Management, Stock Control, Logistics or a relevant field will be advantageous.\n\nEssential Work Experience\nAt least 3-5 years’ work experience in a stock control or similar role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.\n\nAdvantageous Experience\nPrevious exposure to the protein industry, such as meat, fish or dairy.\n\nProficiency in a Warehouse Management System (WMS).\n\nEssential Skills and Competencies\nSolid proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including intermediate-level Excel, Outlook and collaborative tools such as Teams and OneDrive.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong planning and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines.\n\nExceptional attention to detail, numerical accuracy and administrative quality control.\n\nAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervision and demonstrate personal accountability.\n\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement in decision-making.\n\nGood time management and organisational skills.\n\nAbility to work independently under tight operational deadlines.\n\nWillingness to learn new software systems and adapt to short-notice operational changes.\n\nA positive, flexible and solutions-oriented attitude.\n\nAbility to engage effectively with employees across all levels.\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility and temperature-controlled cold store environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nStock Control and Inventory Management\nPerform daily cycle counts, with a minimum of 5-10 stock lines per day, and conduct regular end-to-end stock audits.\n\nVerify that all stock is placed in the correct locations, put away efficiently and accurately labelled.\n\nMonitor and verify the movement of internal, third-party, farm and market stock against active orders.\n\nComplete accurate and timely documentation for stock transfers, returns, damages and inventory adjustments.\n\nMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock movements are recorded correctly.\n\nQuality Control and Cold Chain Management\nConduct random quality checks on products and packaging before final dispatch to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines.\n\nMonitor and maintain optimal storage temperatures to safeguard products and cold-chain integrity.\n\nEnforce housekeeping and food safety protocols within the cold store.\n\nEnsure that all staff and visitors entering the cold store comply with mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.\n\nStock Variance Investigations and Reporting\nLead investigations into stock variances, damaged products and displaced stock.\n\nCompile comprehensive incident reports for management.\n\nIdentify discrepancies and ensure that stock-related issues are addressed promptly.\n\nMaintain accurate supporting documentation for inventory adjustments and reported incidents.\n\nDispatch and Order Monitoring\nTrack dispatch schedules and report orders that have not been collected by customers or logistics teams.\n\nMonitor stock availability and movement against active orders.\n\nCoordinate with relevant departments to resolve stock and dispatch discrepancies.\n\nStaff Coordination and Supervision\nAssist the Shift Manager with allocating daily tasks to warehouse staff.\n\nSupervise floor workflows to ensure that stock control activities are completed efficiently and accurately.\n\nPromote adherence to operational procedures, housekeeping standards, food safety requirements and PPE compliance.\n\nInterdepartmental Coordination\nCoordinate daily stock control operations with the Logistics, Sales and Finance departments.\n\nCommunicate stock-related issues and discrepancies to the relevant stakeholders.\n\nSupport efficient operational workflows through timely reporting, accurate documentation and effective coordination.\n\nGeneral Responsibilities\nTake ownership of assigned duties and work independently when required.\n\nAdapt to changing operational demands and short-notice instructions.\n\nMaintain high standards of accuracy, accountability and professionalism.\n\nEnsure all responsibilities are completed within required operational
