Audit and assurance services are provided by Elliott Davis, LLC(doing business in NC and D.C. as Elliott Davis, PLLC), a licensed CPA firm.\nJob Summary\nThe role of Audit Senior is to participate in the audit process from planning to completion for clients as part of the company’s annual audit plan. Tasks will include planning the audit process, researching, reviewing current processes and providing recommendations to enhance company policies and procedures. The Audit Senior is responsible for supervising, motivating, developing, and reviewing the work of the audit staff team.\nResponsibilities\nPlan, supervise and perform financial statement audits for clients\nBuild trust-based relationships with clients by developing a comprehensive knowledge of key clients’ business\nEvaluate client's internal control systems and develop recommendations to improve client processes, accounting systems, control structure and procedures, and efficiency\nPrepare financial statements, audit reports, budget and cash flow analyses, and special reports for clients\nResolve all open items/issues encountered on assigned engagements\nActively monitor engagement economics by managing budgets and seeking efficiencies\nBottom-line management of assigned engagements and individual productivity opportunities, becoming a subject-matter expert in one or more technical aspects\nTeach, develop and oversee staff throughout engagements; delegate assignments and tasks\nProvide honest, objective and constructive feedback in timely manner to staff\nCollaborate to identify and sell opportunities among existing clients\nServe as a mentor and role model through active participation in firm committees, departmental matters, and events\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance \n2+ years of recent public accounting experience \nCPA certification or significant progress toward certification \nAbility to prepare and/or review a complete set of financial statements \nStrong oral and written communication skills; effective listening skills \nEffective analytical and problem-solving ability \nStrong time and work management skills\nWHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US\nWe believe that when our employees are able to thrive in all facets of life, their work and impact are that much greater.\nThat's right - all aspects of life, not just your life as an employee, because we understand that there's life beyond your job.
