This position will be responsible for initiatives of Sautter Crane Rental. With the ability to provide the right crane for every job, Sautter Crane has become the provider of choice for hundreds of companies all over the Eastern Seaboard. Client’s value Sautter Crane’s commitment to set the benchmark for crane service and rentals.\nResponsibilities\nManage Transportation Permits and Regulatory Compliance\nObtain and maintain oversize/overweight vehicle permits from municipal, township, state, and federal agencies.\nCoordinate permit applications, renewals, and required documentation to ensure legal operation of company vehicles and equipment on public roadways.\nRecordkeeping for DOT Compliance\nMonitor and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificates for employees operating vehicles over a GVWR of 10,000 lbs including additional criteria for vehicles over 26,000 lbs.\nTrack expiration dates, communicate renewal requirements, and ensure Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) compliance records remain current and complete. Escalate cases where employees fall out of compliance.\nCrane Operator Credentialing\nMaintain records of Crane Operator Licenses and other required certifications.\nProactively track renewal deadlines, coordinate recertification activities, and ensure operators maintain valid credentials necessary for job performance.\nVehicle Registrations\nMaintain company vehicle registration records and distribute newly issued registrations to field personnel.\nEnsure all company vehicles, including passenger vehicles and commercial truck cabs, contain current registration documentation as required by law.\nVehicle Insurance Documentation\nCoordinate the distribution of updated insurance cards for company vehicles.\nPartner with field employees and operational teams to verify that current insurance documents are properly maintained in each vehicle and available for inspection when needed.\nManage Corporate EZ-Pass Accounts\nOrdering, assigning, and tracking new transponders\nReplacing older or defective transponders\nAddressing and resolving EZ-Pass violations\nManaging EZ-Pass billing, payments, and related recordkeeping\nSupport Dispatch\nAssist with calls, emails, and other notifications to field employees to keep operations moving forward.\nProvide updates and enter data into our central database to keep systems up to date for ongoing crane jobs.\nRequired Skills\nThis is an entry-level role for someone starting their career. Therefore above all, we are seeking a hard working and collaborative member to join our team.\nOur ideal candidate is extroverted and enjoys working in a team environment to meet a group goal.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nMust be efficient navigating government websites and databases.\nStrong skill set utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.\nPreferred Skills(Nice to have, but not required to apply)\nPrevious experience working for a construction, crane, or rigging company.\nExperience with Department of Transportation (DOT) driver requirements and documentation.\nKnowledge of NexGen Fleet Cost and Care software preferred but not required.
