The role ensures accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and effective financial controls while supporting operational teams in achieving business objectives.\nYou as an Accounting Manager will:\nProvide financial support to Operations Managers in relation to budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial performance analysis.\nLead and participate in Internal Project Reviews (IPRs) to identify financial risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.\nEnsure the timely and accurate preparation of project billings, accounts receivable, cash receipts, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable processing.\nMonitor project profitability, cash flow, and financial performance, providing regular reporting and recommendations to management.\nSupport the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.\nReview monthly management accounts and variance analyses, highlighting and investigating significant deviations from budget and forecast.\nEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards, corporate policies, tax requirements, and statutory obligations.\nSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including audit preparation and responses to auditor requests.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve financial reporting processes, controls, and procedures.\nPrepare management reports and present financial information to senior leadership as required.\nResearch and respond to financial queries from stakeholders across the business.\nIs this the right role for you?\nThe salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 CAD\nMinimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably within construction, facilities management, engineering, or a project-based environment.\nProfessional accounting qualification, or equivalent, or actively working towards qualification.\nStrong knowledge of financial accounting principles, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.\nExperience with ERP and accounting systems, together with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nKnowledge of Canadian and Irish tax regulations, including VAT and payroll compliance, is desirable.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations.\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nDemonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop team members.\nHigh level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.\nEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.\nGo ahead and be yourself.
