We are committed to sustainable and equitable relationships with Indigenous communities, focusing on mutual respect and transparent communication.\nIn case you’re curious, here’s what the industry thinks of us and some of the impacts we've made to the communities we work in and our latest Impact Report, highlighting how we're putting our values into practice in areas such as the climate & environment, inclusive diversity, indigenous relations, and health and safety.\nThis position is located in Fort Saskatchewan.\n\nYou as an Accounts Payable Supervisor will:\nServes as a key member of the accounts payable team.\nEnsure proper administration of the electronic workflow payment process\nAssist with vendor account reconciliations\nMentor and support members of the accounts payable team\nAssist with month end close activities (e.g. accruals)\nDevelop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nPurchase order receiving\nAnalysis of purchase order and subcontract discrepancies\nVerifying payable subcontract values versus subcontract administration records\nSubmission of invoices for approval use the electronic workflow payment process\nUnderstand payment terms and billing requirements (e.g. statutory holdbacks, COI, WCB, etc.)\nParticipate in weekly meetings for vendor statement reconciliations\nMonitor timely submission of invoices for approval.\nMonitor timely approvals for invoices for posting\nEnsure overall efficient processing of invoices\nIdentify areas of improvement\nOther tasks as assigned\nEnsure proper source document filing\nIs this the right role for you?\nYou have 5+ years of experience required, preferably in the construction industry\nDegree/Diploma in a related field\nExperience in a high-volume, multi-project, multi-province payables environment\nIntermediate Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, Lookups, IF Statements, etc.)\nSelf-motivated with a high degree of ownership\nMust be able to work independently and within a team\nYou demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nYou demonstrate the ability to work under pressure with attention to detail and can manage tight deadlines.\nEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.\nGo ahead and be yourself.
