Ultimately, EllisDon’s purpose is to provide people with similar values the opportunity to achieve to their full potential; to deliver that opportunity for great careers to one another; and to contribute meaningfully to the community we share with others.\nIn case you’re curious, here’s what the industry thinks of us and some of the impacts we've made to the communities we work in and our latest Impact Report, highlighting how we're putting our values into practice in areas such as the climate & environment, inclusive diversity, indigenous relations, and health and safety.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOverall responsibility for all accounting and financial reporting functions for the EllisDon group of companies.\nLead, mentor and develop accounting and finance team members.\nManage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.\nPrepare consolidated and standalone financial statements in accordance with ASPE and US GAAP.\nManage various external audit engagements and work closely with finance teams (such as Tax and Treasury) to fulfill ongoing reporting requirements.\nOversee and participate in internal control processes such as review and approval of payments.\nProvide ongoing accounting support and oversight to EllisDon divisions.\nManage financial reporting requirements for divisions and joint ventures to ensure accurate and timely reporting, proper consolidation, and adherence to company policies.\nManage delivery of financial reporting packages to internal and external stakeholders.\nPartner with the Internal Audit team to develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures.\nPartner with the FP&A team to perform ongoing financial analysis and reporting to executive leadership, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.\nDrive process improvements, automation initiatives, and financial systems implementations in a complex IT environment.\nPerform research and provide input on finance and accounting requirements for new transactions and areas of business.\nParticipate in special projects as needed, including acquisition due-diligence.\nIs this the right role for you?\n10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, in a large organization, including as a Controller or a similar role\nCPA designation required, with public accounting (audit) experience an asset\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline\nExperience within a construction, engineering, or infrastructure entity preferred\nStrong knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and compliance requirements\nExperience managing audits and complex consolidations\nProven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills\nAdvanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel\nThe salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000\nEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.\nGo ahead and be yourself.
