Ultimately, EllisDon’s purpose is to provide people with similar values the opportunity to achieve to their full potential; to deliver that opportunity for great careers to one another; and to contribute meaningfully to the community we share with others.\nIn case you’re curious, here’s what the industry thinks of us and some of the impacts we've made to the communities we work in and our latest Impact Report, highlighting how we're putting our values into practice in areas such as the climate & environment, inclusive diversity, indigenous relations, and health and safety.\nYou as a Finance Analyst will:\nSupport the Area Accountant or Finance Manager by taking responsibility for the month-end close activities for Canadian and Ireland operations\nGenerate reports out of financial/accounting system and disseminate information in a timely manner to those who require it within EDFS (EllisDon Facilities Services).\nAnalyze periodic financial data to help in performing financial due diligence on the financial statements.\nAssist in preparing quarterly and yearly financial statements for sites as required.\nAssist in performing variance analysis for profit & loss statements for each site on a monthly basis.\nMaintain management reports for projects and overhead against budget and projections.\nMonitor the aged receivables to ensure funds are being collected.\nParticipate in model audits used in bidding for new projects\nEnsure compliance with internal/external audit requirements.\nProvided support for audit related requests for the financial statements and any tax related audits.\nEnsure MSP (Monthly Service Payment) billings are in accordance with service agreements for each site.\nEnsure all additional billings are in agreement with the financial close and service agreements.\nAssist in the financial system transition as needed from testing controls to setting-up new processes.\nReview monthly (PMR) Performance Monitoring Reports for each of the sites and prepare sections of the monthly operational report to the management.\nAd-hoc projects for the Area Accountant\nIs this the right role for you?\n4+ years of financial analysis or relevant experience\nYou have a strong financial accounting analysis experience\nYou have a strong communication and interpersonal skills.\nYou have experience in forecasting and financial modelling using Excel\nStrong analytical skills and experience building integrated financial models from scratch (in Excel or other planning tools)\nCollaborate across a geographically dispersed finance team, mentor junior colleagues, and champion continuous improvement in processes and controls.\nProficient in all generic office software including advanced Word skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders across multiple locations/regions including Canada and Ireland\nIdeally have experience with Facilities Management\nMust be able to work in office in Cork, Ireland, Edmonton, AB or Mississauga, ON\nThe annual salary range for this role in the primary location is $70,-$90,000\nEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.\nGo ahead and be yourself.
