Ultimately, EllisDon’s purpose is to provide people with similar values the opportunity to achieve to their full potential; to deliver that opportunity for great careers to one another; and to contribute meaningfully to the community we share with others.\nIn case you’re curious, here’s what the industry thinks of us and some of the impacts we've made to the communities we work in and our latest Impact Report, highlighting how we're putting our values into practice in areas such as the climate & environment, inclusive diversity, indigenous relations, and health and safety.\nYou as a HCM Workday Specialist will:\nLead the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of Workday Core HCM processes, including worker data, job and position management, supervisory organizations, staffing transactions, and organizational structures.\nPartner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and IT teams to gather requirements, assess impacts, and deliver scalable Workday solutions that align with business needs and best practices.\nOwn and optimize key HCM business processes such as hiring, onboarding, job changes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and organizational assignments to ensure efficient workflows and a positive user experience.\nMaintain foundational Workday HCM configuration, including supervisory organizations, job profiles, positions, worker types, staffing models, and related system objects that support accurate HR transactions.\nTroubleshoot complex HCM issues, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions across functional areas, including business processes, reporting, data integrity, and downstream system impacts.\nMonitor and improve data quality and system integrity through audits, testing, exception reviews, and process improvement initiatives.\nLead impact assessments, testing, and deployment activities related to Workday releases, enhancements, and change requests affecting Core HCM and integrated modules such as Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, and Time Tracking.\nDevelop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources to support stakeholders, analysts, and end users.\nProvide guidance and support on Workday HCM functionality, business processes, and best practices across the organization.\nIs this role right for you?\n3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Core HCM.\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\nStrong understanding of Workday Core HCM configuration, business processes, organizational structures, and staffing models.\nExperience partnering with cross-functional teams including HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and IT.\nProven ability to troubleshoot complex configuration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve data integrity concerns.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience supporting Workday modules such as Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, or Recruiting is considered an asset.\nWorkday Core HCM training and/or certification is considered an asset.\nComfortable supporting testing, system releases, enhancements, and change management initiatives.\nThe salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120, 000 CAD\nEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.\nGo ahead and be yourself.
