Ultimately, EllisDon’s purpose is to provide people with similar values the opportunity to achieve to their full potential; to deliver that opportunity for great careers to one another; and to contribute meaningfully to the community we share with others.\nIn case you’re curious, here’s what the industry thinks of us and some of the impacts we've made to the communities we work in and our latest Impact Report, highlighting how we're putting our values into practice in areas such as the climate & environment, inclusive diversity, indigenous relations, and health and safety.\nYou as a VDC Coordinator will:\nBe a part of a project team working in a fast paced environment with project managers, superintendents, and engineers on-site. \nCollaborate with VDC Leadership team to build and manage a BIM Execution Plan and VDC implementation strategy \nUnderstand the owner BIM / Employers Information Requirements (EIR) and use a custom suite of software tools to prepare BIM model-based deliverables \nHave the freedom and creativity to develop project specific workflows that utilize BIM data for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling (4D), coordination, field layout, and facilitates management.\nDevelop solutions with the project stakeholders by performing model based design and constructability review, clash detection and visualization\nManage and maintain BIM data generated from various sources throughout design and construction\nTake ownership over coordination meetings with designers, trades, and suppliers including chairing meetings and writing agendas & meeting minutes. \nGenerate drawings for sleeving and, logistics, ect. from the BIM using standardized details and workflows occasionally.\nManage and the development of Revit models to contain COBie data for asset management. \nconduct VR walkthroughs of the future built asset with the client to address design concerns. \nWork with closely with the design teams to develop the building design throughout various stages of design milestones and ensuring compliance to Project information requirements and BIM standards.\nWork closely with the field team using the intelligent building models to track the progress on site and contribute on the overall project schedules and plans \nProactively identifying potential coordination issues and act as a subject matter expert for design software products & BIM related issues while maintaining best practices\nFacilitate reality capture, utilizing LiDAR, Drones, and 360 Photography for model integration, QA/QC, analysis, and visualization\nHelp your project team navigate the expanding world of construction technology by teaching and mentoring them as they learn new software and workflows\nParticipate in software testing, R&D initiatives and continue personal and professional growth\nBe a part of the VDC community to build on EllisDon’s rich history of innovation as leaders in the construction industry\nBuild a BIM Execution Plan and Project specific VDC implementation strategy\nWork with Project Management team to develop BIM specific scope of work in tender documents\nUse your 3D Modeling skills to model Architectural, Structural, MEP and Construction Logistic elements as needed for representation, visualization, and coordination \nIs this the right role for you?\nUniversity degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, M&E or related field.\n3-5 years of professional experience with focus on BIM Management, MEP model Coordination preferably on site. Design build experience on healthcare projects would be an asset.\nExperience in 3D laser scanning, 360 photography, and Lidar would be an asset\nExperience working with COBie data would be an asset.\nExperience with ISO 19650 standards would be an asset.\nAdvanced experience in Revit including interoperability tools, AutoCAD and Navisworks is required.\nExperience in Autodesk Construction Cloud, cmBuilder, and Fuzor are considered an asset\n3D Modelling experience considered as an asset\nExperience working with Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam.\nHigh level of knowledge interpreting design and construction drawings\nPassionate about the construction industry and innovation\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.\nExcellent organization, time management skills, and attention to detail\nBIM-related training or certifications considered an asset (Building Transformations, BuildingSMART)\nRPAS (Drone) operator Certification (Or the ability to achieve) to operate drones on our project sites.
