This role requires deep expertise in CI/CD architecture, cloud-native technologies, software engineering practices, system internals, and production operations.\n\nThe ideal candidate combines strong platform engineering skills with software development expertise and possesses the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues spanning application, infrastructure, networking, operating systems, and cloud services. The engineer will serve as a technical leader, influencing enterprisewide DevOps and platform engineering strategies while driving developer productivity and operational excellence.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilitiies\n\nCI/CD Platform Architecture\n\n Design, implement, and evolve enterprise-scale CI/CD platforms supporting multiple engineering teams.\n Develop standardized build, test, security scanning, release, and deployment pipelines.\n Establish best practices for software delivery, release automation, and deployment governance.\n Build reusable pipeline templates, frameworks, and automation libraries.\n Implement GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices across environments.\n Define deployment strategies including blue-green, canary, rolling, and progressive delivery models.\n Drive platform reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.\n\nAWS Cloud Engineering\n\n Architect and manage cloud-native delivery platforms on AWS.\n Design automated deployment solutions leveraging services such as: AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS CloudFormation, AWS Systems Manager, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS IAM, Amazon S3, Amazon EventBridge\n Optimize cloud infrastructure utilization, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.\n Establish secure deployment patterns and environment isolation strategies.\n\nPlatform Automation & Software Development\n\n Develop automation frameworks and tooling using Python.\n Build internal developer platforms and self-service deployment capabilities.\n Create integrations with source control systems, artifact repositories, ticketing systems, security tools, and observability platforms.\n Automate operational workflows, compliance checks, environment provisioning, and release processes.\n Develop APIs, CLI tools, and automation services supporting engineering teams.\n\nProduction Operations & Troubleshooting\n\n Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical production incidents.\n Perform root cause analysis across Applications, Containers, Kubernetes clusters, Operating systems, Databases, Build and deployment systems\n Resolve deployment failures and infrastructure-related production issues.\n Apply deep understanding of operating system internals and distributed systems concepts.\n Analyze performance bottlenecks involving CPU utilization, Memory management,\n\nStorage I/O, Process scheduling, Threading, Networking and Container runtimes\n\n Debug complex issues using system-level diagnostics and observability tools.\n Support performance tuning and optimization initiatives.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\n\n Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.\n Implement automated security scanning and policy enforcement.\n Enforce least-privilege access models across cloud and deployment systems.\n Partner with security teams to establish secure software supply chain practices.\n Drive compliance automation and audit readiness.\n\nQualifications\n\n Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n 10+ years of software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience.\n 5+ years of experience designing and operating enterprise CI/CD platforms.\n Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.\n Strong Python programming and software development skills.\n Demonstrated experience building automation frameworks and developer tooling.\n Deep understanding of Linux operating systems and system internals.\n Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities in complex distributed environments.\n Experience supporting production systems with high availability requirements.\n Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nELLKAY is committed to fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment that supports innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
