You’ll work as part of our production team operating and monitoring specialized furnaces and equipment used to manufacture high-performance metal products.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Machine Operator in Furnace/Sintering, you’ll be responsible for safely operating production furnaces and related equipment while helping ensure our products meet established specifications and quality requirements.\nDuring a typical shift, you’ll:\nSafely operate and monitor production furnaces and/or boxes\nPrepare furnaces and materials for production\nSelect the proper bricks for loading parts\nVisually inspect and properly handle green and finished parts\nSafely load and unload parts and materials, including sand\nMonitor and record furnace speed and temperature and make appropriate adjustments when needed\nInspect parts and accurately record results using tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators\nIdentify production orders and maintain accurate product traceability\nFollow established safety procedures, including procedures for loss of power involving hydrogen\nComplete required production and inspection records\nKeep your work area clean, safe, and organized\nPerform other production duties as assigned by group leaders or supervisors\nRequirements\nYou Could Be a Great Fit If You:\nHave a high school diploma or equivalent\nHave basic knowledge of measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators\nCan perform basic arithmetic\nCan interpret and follow specifications and production requirements\nCan follow written and verbal instructions\nCan communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English\nShow up consistently and can be counted on\nEnjoy hands-on work\nAre comfortable working around manufacturing equipment\nPay attention to details\nTake safety seriously\nCan accurately record production and inspection information\nWork well as part of a team\nAre a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, as required by business needs and applicable trade compliance requirements\nPrevious manufacturing experience is helpful, but it is not required.
