This is a hands-on project leadership role for an engineer who can combine technical problem-solving with disciplined project execution. You’ll be responsible for delivering improvements that work in the manufacturing environment and produce measurable results.\nThat means:\nCapital and technical projects are delivered safely, on time, within established scope, and within budget\nNew and modified equipment is successfully installed, commissioned, and qualified\nManufacturing capacity, reliability, throughput, and process performance improve\nOperations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, contractors, and vendors remain aligned throughout project execution\nContractors, project resources, schedules, and capital investments are managed effectively\nNew equipment and processes transition smoothly into production\nProjects produce measurable improvements in yield, waste reduction, and operational efficiency\nRequirements\nWhat You’ll Bring\nWe’re looking for an engineer who understands both the technical and execution sides of manufacturing projects.\nYou’ll need:\nBachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline\n3-7 years of project management experience within an industrial manufacturing environment\nExperience managing capital equipment, facility, or manufacturing process projects\nStrong understanding of heat transfer, metallurgy, materials processing, or related industrial processes\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies\nUnderstanding of OSHA, NEC, NFPA, IBC, and other applicable industrial safety and engineering standards\nAbility to interpret process, instrumentation, electrical, and wiring diagrams\nExperience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and PLC-controlled equipment\nStrong project planning, organization, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously\nAbility to communicate effectively with manufacturing employees, leadership, contractors, equipment suppliers, and other external partners\nA Hands-On Manufacturing Environment\nThis is not a project management role where success happens entirely from behind a desk.\nYou’ll work directly with manufacturing teams, equipment, facility systems, contractors, and vendors as projects move from engineering concepts to installed and operating solutions.\nOne day may involve reviewing specifications or project schedules; another may put you on the manufacturing floor troubleshooting an installation, coordinating contractors, evaluating equipment performance, or working with Operations and Quality during commissioning.\nYou’ll be expected to understand both the project plan and what is actually happening in the plant.\nAbout Elmet Technologies\nElmet Technologies is a division of The Elmet Group and a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of precision-engineered products serving global industries, including aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and energy.
