Your responsibilities will include:\nSource, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen critical supply lines\nAssess supplier technical capabilities across machining, coating applications, materials, and other manufacturing processes\nEvaluate suppliers for technical capability and production readiness\nSolicit and evaluate supplier proposals\nAnalyze proposals using a total-cost-of-ownership approach\nLead supplier cost analysis and support commercial negotiations\nManage procurement of capital equipment from requirements development through installation and commissioning\nPartner with technical stakeholders to identify equipment requirements and evaluate technical specifications\nConduct vendor assessments and oversee purchasing activities for equipment acquisitions\nLead project-based procurement activities supporting new and existing customer programs\nSupport customer launch readiness and sourcing risk-mitigation strategies\nPartner with Engineering, Production Planning, Operations, and Quality on supplier qualification and equipment acquisition\nDevelop and maintain documentation supporting supplier onboarding, equipment purchasing, and project procurement\nIdentify opportunities to improve supply-chain resilience and reduce sourcing risk\nParticipate in continuous-improvement initiatives supporting long-term strategic customer and business requirements\nRequirements\nWhat We’re Looking For\nYou’ll be a strong fit if you bring:\n5+ years of procurement experience\nSupplier cost analysis and negotiation experience\nExperience purchasing capital equipment\nExperience with supplier development or technical sourcing of components, processes, or specialized materials\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment commissioning, and production workflow integration\nProject management experience, particularly involving launch readiness, risk mitigation, or customer-driven timelines\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process requirements\nFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems and procurement workflow tools\nAbility to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Production Planning, and other functions\nExperience in a manufacturing environment supporting continuous improvement or Lean initiatives\nA bachelor’s or associate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related technical field is preferred.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact\nSuccess in this role means creating more than purchase orders. Understanding supplier capabilities and equipment requirements means understanding how things are actually made.
