Our team values trust, respect, collaboration, agility, and quality.\nAbout the Role:-\nThis position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design - typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.\nResponsibilities:-\nInterface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.\nWrite and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.\nComplete complex bug fixes.\nWork closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.\nSuccessfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.\nOperate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.\nResolve complex technical issues as necessary.\nTrain entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.\nKeep abreast of new technology developments.\nDesign and work with complex data models.\nMentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.\nAll other duties as assigned.\n Requirements:-\n6+ years of Software Engineering experience\nBS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required\nAdvanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).\nStrong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.\nStrong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.\nStrong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.\nExpertise in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.\nStrong research skills.\nStrong knowledge in industry best practices in development.\nKnowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets.\nAbility to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.\nAbility to work well with internal and external technology resources.\nKnowledge of test-driven development.\nAbility to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.\nAbility to complete complex bug fixes.\nGood oral and written communications skills.\nWork in a way that works for you: -\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
