Through innovation in editorial workflows and publishing technology, we help global research communities discover, evaluate, and disseminate knowledge that advances science and improves lives.\nAbout the Role\nTo support the STM Journals division by successful management and delivery of all aspects of marketing for the Conference and journal product lines. Provision of support to e-Marketing team as needed to ensure standards, targets are met and deadlines are achieved.\nResponsibilities\nMonitor daily workloads, support the team in meeting SLAs, resolve IT or technical issues quickly, and share professional expertise.\nPlan, manage, and deliver e-marketing activities for Elsevier STM Journals and Conferences within agreed quality standards and SLAs.\nAct as a super user for relevant marketing tools and systems, and provide feedback on developments and functionality to Marketing Communications Managers and Publishing.\nImprove product webpages and websites, maintain the online presence, and manage escalations or sensitive stakeholder issues in a timely manner.\nCreate and manage email marketing collateral, advise on requirements gathering, release testing, technical feasibility, and project planning, and analyse channels to increase conversions and actions.\nLead or support key MCRED projects, identify team improvement and skill-development needs, and advise business contacts on online marketing best practices.\nEvaluate emerging marketing technologies, trends, communication techniques, and media regulations, while periodically optimising workflows to improve efficiency and quality.\nRequirements\nIntegrity and honesty: Follow rules and commitments, make ethical decisions, earn trust, and treat others fairly and respectfully.\nRelationship building and teamwork: Establish rapport, collaborate effectively within and across teams, adapt interactions to others, minimise conflict, and build mutually beneficial relationships.\nCommunication: Provide clear instructions and direction, listen actively, ask effective questions, and explain business context so others understand situations and expectations.\nResults orientation: Build commitment to individual and team objectives, create urgency around goals, and follow through on commitments to ensure successful completion.\nTechnical expertise and problem-solving: Apply strong professional knowledge in the wider business context, provide dependable advice, contribute meaningfully to the team, and resolve core or complex issues quickly with others.\nDigital and technical capabilities: Demonstrate strong knowledge of HTML, CSS data-driven web solutions, large-data handling, workflow automation, content management systems, web and email analytics, Excel, and tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Hands on knowledge of AI tools to improve workflows and add value.\nMarketing and delivery skills: Bring online marketing and web-publishing expertise, awareness of browsers and platforms, excellent written and verbal English, workload prioritization, deadline management, project management, the ability to work under pressure, and the ability to coach non-technical colleagues.\nEducation and experience: Hold a university degree, preferably an MBA in Marketing, with 3-4 years of relevant experience, ideally in a digital marketing role.\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
