The team themselves are highly collaborative and supportive, with the role having the ability to grow.\nAbout the Role:-\nThe Salesforce developer engages directly with global, multi-functional teams to provide user support and assist in strategic development and enhancement of the Customer Relationship Management application (Salesforce). This includes, but is not limited to, direct user engagement and support, key stakeholder support and business analysis, continual business process improvement, assessment and advancement of complementary Salesforce technologies, and alignment to overarching Sales & Marketing business objectives.The Salesforce developer acts as the business-facing Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce technology stack; primary responsibilities include real-time user support, end-user documentation, assistance in capturing and evaluating business requirements, stakeholder support during UAT and various phases of the development lifecycle, and execution of required development throughout phased implementation. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that Elsevier has a functionally sound and stable Salesforce deployment, and that the desired level of user support is being achieved.\nResponsibilities: -\nWork directly with various business leaders and sales teams; direct accountability for end-user support\n\nProvide system and business process expertise when scoping projects and related integrations\n\nReview solution summaries where appropriate to ensure adherence to best practices and fit-for-purpose, user-focused development\n\nDemonstrable growth mindset; enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address business problems\n\nIntegration monitoring and trouble-shooting\n\nDocumentation and knowledge sharing; technical, business process, best practice, reference architecture, etc.\n\nApplies advanced Salesforce technical principles and concepts; contributes to the development of new principles and concepts\n\nWorks under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives; assignments are often self-initiated, determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results, work checked through consultation and agreement with business stakeholders more often than by formal review of superior\n\nRequirements: -\nDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field preferred\n\n1+ years previous administrative experience with Salesforce\n\nSalesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or Developer certification preferred\n\nSalesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification preferred\n\nExperience working in Agile projects\n\nStrong understanding of how to build and support highly scalable and reliable solutions on Salesforce Platform\n\nProven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues\n\nDemonstrated support success with at least one large Salesforce Org\n\nUnderstanding of UI design principles and best practices\n\nExceptional analytical skills and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets\n\nCommunication skills for both a technical and business audience\n\nWork in a way that works for you: -\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
