It’s a chance to shape the future of research.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Solutions Account Manager for Research Intelligence at Elsevier, you will work with academic institutions to transform research workflows through AI-powered solutions. This role combines strategic account leadership with consultative selling, enabling customers to accelerate discovery, improve decision-making, and advance their research missions. You will own meaningful, long-term partnerships that put Elsevier’s research intelligence tools at the center of institutional strategy.\nTerritory: IN IL OH KY. Residence in one of the respective states is preferred but not required.\nResponsibilities\nDrive revenue growth across a portfolio of AI-powered research intelligence platforms, data licensing, and solutions products\n\nChampion AI-enabled research discovery, analytics, and insight tools that help customers work faster and more effectively\n\nUse a consultative sales approach to understand customer challenges and develop tailored, high-impact solutions\n\nBuild and manage strategic relationships with libraries, research offices, and academic leadership teams\n\nDevelop and execute account strategies that expand partnerships and deliver long-term value\n\nMaintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using tools such as Salesforce, Gong and Clari\n\nGather and share market and competitive insights to inform product and go-to-market strategy\n\nRepresent Elsevier at academic conferences and higher-education events to generate meaningful engagement and pipeline\n\nRequirements\nProven experience managing complex accounts and achieving revenue targets in a consultative sales environment\n\nAbility to engage credibly with senior academic, research, or institutional stakeholders\n\nStrong understanding of data, analytics, or technology-enabled solutions, with curiosity about AI in research\n\nExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills\n\nStrategic thinking with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable account plans\n\nComfort working with CRM and forecasting tools to manage opportunities and performance\n\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams\n\nWork in a Way That Works for You\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
