The position executes corporate tactical technology strategy on large multifunctional development activities, solves complex technical problems, writes complex code for computer systems, and serves as a senior source of expertise. This position is expected to be seen as a “go to” person across the division for a set of technologies.\nResponsibilities:-\nPerform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed.\nWrite advanced complex code for computer systems and serve as a senior source of expertise.\nManage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions.\nLead the development of technical standards, and perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed.\nServe as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.\nAct as a technology mentor to other engineers.\nRecommend technical strategy and direction across functional area.\nParticipate in development and evolution of architecture.\nConsult with stakeholders to find alternative work-arounds during system outages.\nProvide design input across a product.\nWork directly with customers and end users.\nServe as acknowledged “go to” person on coding and technical issues.\nInterface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.\nWrite and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.\nComplete complex bug fixes.\nDesign and work with complex data models.\nMentor lead software developers on consultancy path on development methodologies and optimization techniques.\nSeek diverse ideas and perspectives from a variety of sources to create better solutions, products, and services.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nRequirements:-\n12+ years of Software Engineering experience\nBS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred\nIndustrywide or broad companywide technical knowledge.\nSpecialized coding skills.\nKnowledge of large complex systems.\nProven ability to adapt to new roles and responsibilities.\nSoftware development process expert in applicable methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).\nExpertise in data modeling, design and manipulation, optimization, best practices, tuning, and leading industry trend knowledge.\nExpertise in normalized/dimensional data modeling principles and their application to complex business needs.\nExpertise in industry technology language development trends.\nStrong knowledge of architectural principles.\nProven expertise and experience applying industry best practices in all aspects of development.\nExpertise in test-driven development and maintenance including techniques for applying best practices for overall project benefit.\nExpert knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.\nBudgeting and finance.\nResearch skills.\nProven expertise in the use and development of applicable desktop tool sets.\nProven expert in partnering and leading internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.\nStrong experience with various resource models such as Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation.\nTest-driven development.\nStrong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.\nAbility to design and work with complex data models.\nExpertise in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.\nKnowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets.\nAbility to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of advanced complexity.\nStrong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, and strong delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity.\nAdvanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making.\nAdvanced communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
