All for the benefit of every patient.\nAbout the Role:\nAs part of the core team at the Mexico City technology hub within Elsevier Health Education (EHE), the Systems Engineer III will lead complex cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives with strong technical ownership. Working closely with the Systems Engineering Lead, this role helps drive reliability, implementation quality, and operational maturity across shared platform services. You will play a key role in shaping technical standards, improving platform resilience, and supporting the growth of engineering capabilities across teams.\nResponsibilities:\nLead delivery of complex cloud infrastructure deployment, modernization, and troubleshooting initiatives (preferably on AWS).\n\nDesign and implement advanced automation workflows to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.\n\nDrive implementation decisions for resilient architecture patterns in collaboration with senior peers.\n\nOwn technical execution plans for medium-to-high complexity initiatives and critical changes.\n\nLead root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive actions.\n\nMentor Systems Engineer I/II team members through technical guidance and review practices.\n\nPartner with architecture, security, product, and FinOps stakeholders to align platform solutions with standards and business needs.\n\nImprove operational practices, observability, and documentation quality for critical services.\n\nRequirements:\nExperience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps-focused roles.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).\n\nSolid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.\n\nProficiency in scripting/programming with Python or Go.\n\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes and deployment tooling such as Helm or ArgoCD.\n\nStrong incident troubleshooting and service reliability mindset in cloud and containerized environments.\n\nDemonstrated ability to independently own cross-team technical initiatives.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\n\nWork in a Way That Works for You:\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
