Join us.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Software Engineer at Elveo, you will be at the heart of designing, building, and operating the software that powers our satellites and ground network. You will join a team of world-class engineers tackling some of the most complex challenges in distributed systems, real-time software, and global-scale operations.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy high-reliability, mission-critical software for our satellite and ground systems.\n\nTake full ownership of the software lifecycle, from initial requirements and architecture to implementation, testing, and operational support.\n\nEmbrace and champion strong object-oriented (OO) design principles.\n\nDevelop and test prototypes to validate new design concepts and architectural decisions.\n\nDevelop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, package, deployment, and testing.\n\nDevelop sophisticated simulation, emulation, and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test environments to ensure system-wide integrity.\n\nParticipate in operations, including data analysis, system monitoring, and visualization.\n\nCollaborate in architecture, design, and code reviews.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).\n\n2+ years of professional experience in software development.\n\nStrong proficiency in an object-oriented language (e.g., C++, Python, Java, C#) and a deep understanding of OO design principles.\n\nExperience building and debugging software (professional, internship, or complex academic projects).\n\nSolid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.\n\nExcellent communication (written and verbal) and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly.\n\nA highly collaborative, team-oriented, and positive approach to your work.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional experience with C++ and Python.\n\nExperience building or operating highly available, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.\n\nFamiliarity with networking concepts (like TCP/IP and UDP) and the principles of distributed systems.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD, test automation, simulation, or hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing.\n\nExperience with modern monitoring, data analysis, and visualization tools.\n\nExperience with Linux-based development environments.\n\nA creative and analytical approach to problem-solving, built on strong engineering fundamentals.\n\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where requirements can evolve.\n\nA passion for tackling complex problems and taking ownership from concept to
