You will gain hands-on exposure across workshop activities, store operations, equipment preparation and engineering support within a highly technical environment supporting government, maritime and enterprise communications projects globally.\nThe business operates internationally across satellite communications, mobility technology, systems integration and secure communications, supporting commercial, defence and government customers worldwide.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWorkshop & Engineering Support:\n- Assist with functional testing of equipment within the workshop\n- Support the mechanical assembly and mounting of hardware\n- Use hand tools for mechanical and electrical tasks\n- Assist with drilling, tapping and cutting activities\n- Prepare cables and connectors for termination\n- Support assembly and wiring of 19” panel systems\n- Maintain accurate workshop records and documentation\n- Ensure workshop areas remain safe, clean and compliant with QHS&E procedures\nStores & Logistics Support:\n- Support Goods Inwards and Goods Outwards processes\n- Assist with picking, checking and packing of equipment\n- Help maintain accurate stock records and serial number tracking\n- Support stocktakes and cycle counting activities\n- Update warranty and inventory databases\n- Assist with the safe handling and movement of materials and equipment\n- Support general facilities and housekeeping activities across the site\n- Maintain awareness of hazardous goods handling procedures and compliance requirements\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n- Strong interest in engineering, workshop operations or technical environments\n- Good secondary education with strong literacy and numeracy skills\n- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems quickly\n- Good attention to detail, particularly around serial numbers and stock accuracy\n- Physically capable of handling and moving equipment safely\n- Reliable, flexible and trustworthy\n- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop\n- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team\nTraining Provided:\nFull training will be provided, including:\n- Forklift training\n- Workshop-related technical training\n- Health & Safety procedures\n- Stores and logistics processes\n- Engineering workshop support activities\nWhy Apply?\n- Excellent entry point into the satellite communications and engineering sector\n- Hands-on apprenticeship within a highly technical international business\n- Exposure to engineering, logistics, workshop and systems integration activities\n- Opportunity to develop practical technical skills\n- Long-term career progression potential within engineering and operations environments\nPlease note: This role can involve physically demanding tasks during busy periods\nCandidates must be comfortable working in a workshop and store environment\nAccuracy and attention to detail are essential for success in the role\nApplication Process: Please submit your resume detailing your experience and qualifications.\nEqual Opportunity Employer: We are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
