This individual will be responsible for overseeing testing strategy, quality processes, test automation initiatives, and overall software quality across multiple applications and platforms.\nThe QA Engineer Lead will provide technical leadership to QA teams, collaborate with developers and stakeholders, and ensure that products and releases meet established quality standards, performance requirements, and compliance expectations.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead all quality assurance and testing activities across program initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and testing frameworks.\nOversee manual, automated, functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing efforts.\nEstablish and enforce QA standards, methodologies, and best practices.\nLead and mentor QA engineers, testers, and automation specialists.\nCollaborate closely with product owners, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define quality requirements.\nDesign and implement automated testing solutions to improve testing efficiency and coverage.\nMonitor defect management processes and ensure timely resolution of issues.\nConduct root cause analysis and support continuous process improvement initiatives.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, release planning, and deployment activities.\nDevelop and maintain quality metrics, dashboards, and status reporting.\nSupport compliance with federal security, accessibility, and software development requirements.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 8 years of software quality assurance experience.\nAt least 3 years of experience leading QA teams or serving in a QA Lead capacity.\nExperience with VA systems, processes, and organizational structure.\nExperience managing healthcare, IT modernization, digital transformation, or clinical support programs within the VA.\nExperience supporting federal government IT programs.\nHands-on experience with test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and quality management processes.\nExperience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.\nStrong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to obtain and maintain any required federal background investigation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting federal healthcare or health IT systems.\nExperience with healthcare interoperability standards, electronic health records, or healthcare data systems.\nCertification such as:Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)\nISTQB Advanced Test Manager\nCertified Scrum Master (CSM)\nSAFe Agilist\n\nExperience with cloud-based environments and DevSecOps practices.\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale modernization programs.\nSecurity Requirements\nMust be able to obtain and maintain any required federal background investigation or VA clearance.\nS.
