Electrical Simulation & Analysis Engineer
Position Summary
The Electrical Simulation & Analysis Engineer is responsible for the development, execution, and documentation of advanced electronic circuit simulations and analyses. The role focuses on supporting product development through accurate modelling, simulation-driven design validation, technical problem solving, and continuous improvement of simulation methodologies and tools. The engineer serves as a subject matter expert in electronic simulation and provides technical guidance, mentoring, and training to engineering teams.
Main Responsibilities
Perform and document advanced simulations and analyses of analog and digital electronic circuits.
Develop, validate, and maintain simulation models for complex electronic components and systems.
Create and optimize scripts and automation tools to improve modelling, simulation, and data analysis activities.
Own and continuously improve simulation methodologies, standards, documentation, and tool-related resources.
Support engineering programs through simulation-driven design verification, troubleshooting, and risk assessment.
Act as a technical expert for modelling and simulation activities across multiple projects.
Mentor engineers and support knowledge transfer within simulation and analysis disciplines.
Deliver technical training related to simulation tools, modelling techniques, and best practices.
Participate actively in design reviews and provide simulation-based recommendations for product development.
Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges using advanced simulation techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Hardware Design, Validation, System Engineering, and Product Development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electronic circuit simulation, modelling, or a related engineering discipline.
Strong understanding of electronic components and analog and digital circuit design.
Advanced knowledge of electronic modelling and simulation methodologies, including:
SPICE
VHDL
IBIS
S-Parameters
Hands-on experience with simulation and analysis tools such as:
LTspice
HyperLynx
Xpedition AMS
Ansys Electronics Desktop
Maple
Mathcad
Equivalent industry-standard simulation platforms
Expertise in at least one advanced simulation domain while maintaining working knowledge across other simulation disciplines, including:
Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA)
Signal Integrity (SI)
Power Integrity (PI)
Electromagnetic (EM) Simulation
Transient Analysis
Proven experience in solving complex engineering and technical problems.
Experience in mentoring engineers, delivering training, and transferring technical knowledge.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work within international, cross-functional teams.
Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
Experience within automotive, aerospace, industrial electronics, or high-reliability product development environments.
Experience with simulation automation, scripting, and model development.
Familiarity with industry standards and design verification processes.
