You will write and execute test cases from HIL/SIL bench to full vehicle, run fault-injection campaigns, and support software release sign-off.\nKey responsibilities\nAnalyse system, software and safety requirements and create test plans, test specifications and test cases.\nWrite and execute vehicle-level test cases covering vehicle stability, battery/power supply conditions, life and durability effects, and edge/corner cases.\nValidate suspension control functions: damper control (CDC), air suspension and ride-height levelling, active roll control, drive-mode switching and fail-safe behaviour.\nValidate EBS functions: ABS, ESC, TCS, EBD, hill-hold, brake requests from ADAS, and regen-friction brake blending on EVs.\nValidate OTA and UDS flashing: download, authentication, A/B partition switch, rollback, interruption/power-loss recovery and flashing preconditions.\nDesign and perform fault-injection tests (sensor, actuator, CAN communication, power supply, software and memory faults) on SIL, HIL, bench and vehicle.\nVerify fault detection, DTC storage, warning lamps, fault reaction time and safe-state entry within FTTI.\nTest across ICE (12 V system, cranking) and EV (HV battery, BMS, DC-DC, regen) specific conditions.\nAutomate test cases and regression suites using Python, CAPL or ECU-TEST.\nMaintain requirement-to-test traceability and report defects; support root-cause analysis with development teams.\nPrepare test reports and support release sign-off and homologation evidence.\nRequired skills and experience\nB.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.\n5-7 years of automotive ECU validation, with at least 3 years in chassis (suspension and/or braking).\nHands-on HIL/SIL testing (dSPACE, NI or Vector VT System) and in-vehicle testing.\nStrong with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, CAPL, and INCA or CANape.\nGood knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet/DoIP, UDS (ISO 14229) and OBD diagnostics.\nExperience with ECU reprogramming and OTA: bootloader, secure flashing, A/B partitions and rollback.\nExperience with fault-injection tools: FIU, break-out box, programmable power supply, CAN disturbance tools.\nWorking knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE and ISO/SAE 21434.\nTest management and defect tools such as Polarion, DOORS, JIRA.\nScripting in Python or CAPL.\nGood to have\nEV experience: HV battery behaviour, BMS signals, regen braking, DC-DC converter faults.\nVehicle dynamics basics: yaw, slip, roll, pitch, ride and handling.\nExperience with CarMaker, MATLAB/Simulink, Jenkins/CI.\nTest track experience (lane change, sine-with-dwell, split-µ, low-µ, winter testing).\nValid driving licence; track or advanced driving certification.\nSoft skills\nClear written and verbal communication for test reports and defect discussions.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work with software, systems, supplier and vehicle test teams.\nWillingness to travel to test tracks and vehicle test sites.\nWorking with Embitel\nFreedom to challenge norms, make mistakes, learn and grow\nThere is no ‘I’ in word ‘Team’ and no hierarchy at Embitel\nEmployees of Embitel are partners of our excellence and growth.
