The group comprises of 12 brands from seven European Countries: Volkswagen, Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, Bentley, Ducati (motorcycles), Skoda, SEAT, Scania, MAN and Volkswagen commercial vehicles.\nJob Description:\n•Define and develop the end-to-end architecture of electric powertrain systems, including motor, inverter, battery pack, DC/DC converters, onboard chargers, and control units.Lead system-level trade studies, simulations, and modeling to ensure optimal design decisions.\nCollaborate with hardware and software teams to develop all subsystems for optimal performance and cost.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations (ISO 26262, ISO 21434), and OEM requirements.\nManage requirements engineering for the electric powertrain system and maintain traceability.\nOversee the integration of powertrain components into vehicle platforms (including thermal, mechanical, and electrical interfaces).\nCoordinate validation and testing strategies for system-level performance, durability, and efficiency.\nServe as the technical authority for electric powertrain architecture in concept development, design reviews, and supplier engagements.\nEvaluate and integrate emerging technologies, such as SiC inverters, and high-voltage battery systems (400V / 800V). •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.\n10+ years of experience in electric powertrain design or system architecture, preferably in the automotive or mobility industry.\nStrong understanding of electric motors (PMSM, induction), inverters, HV batteries, and control systems.\nProficiency with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.\nExperience with system engineering tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Polarion, SysML/UML).\nFamiliarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).\nKnowledge of thermal management, and EMC considerations in EV systems.\n• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nWorking with Embitel\nFreedom to challenge norms, make mistakes, learn and grow\nThere is no ‘I’ in word ‘Team’ and no hierarchy at Embitel\nEmployees of Embitel are partners of our excellence and growth.
