This role performs inspections of incoming, received, and shipped materials, verifies inventory transactions and adjustments, conducts dimensional inspections as needed, and maintains required inspection documentation. The inspector operates and monitors inspection equipment, analyzes quality data, supports nonconformance investigations, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and provide performance-related information. Additional responsibilities include maintaining repair station documentation and systems, as well as supporting approved special projects.\nJOB RESPONSIBLITIES\nGuarantees the fulfillment of quality and aeronautical standards (ANAC / ISO / SAE) with improvements incorporated to the existing documentation.\nReviews and analyzes process maps and operational procedures, recommending improvements to maintain regulatory and quality certifications.\nFollows up and controls the repair services and the quality of activities and/or support received.\nCommunicates with members in the department on technical issues.\nGenerates reports with key performance indicators (KPI’s) analysis. \nAnalyzes the KPIs to foster business process improvements. \nMaintains and updates the Repair Station database.\nEnsures compliance with FAA / ANAC / Embraer standards.\nMaintains current knowledge of FAA regulations and compliance requirements.\nApproves items received after inspection. \nInputs data in computer information systems. \nChecks incoming quality documentation. \nPrepares discrepancy reports when inspecting incoming items\nPerforms shipping inspections and issues Certificates of Conformance and other required airworthiness documentation.\nEnsures that NFO’s, Express, and Scheduled shipments are processed accordingly and on time.\nReports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes. Completes shipping and receiving reports and related documentation.\nPrepares nonconformance reports detailing rejected or noncompliant parts, including part identification, quantities, discrepancies, technical classifications, findings, and recommendations.\nRequests re-inspection of inventory and stock items as required. \nUploads and analyzes data collected from calibrated inspection equipment.\nVerifies shelf-life, expiration, and traceability information between system records and the item under inspection.\nProvides support to the Quality Engineer, Inventory Control Analyst, and Quality Supervisor with their processes.\nParticipates in approved special projects and supports implementation activities as assigned.\nESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nEducation:\nBachelor degree required or bachelor degree preferred with 5 or more years of related experience.\nExperience:\n5 - 7 years of experience in quality inspection, quality assurance, or a related discipline.\nExperience with quality management systems, process improvement, workflow analysis, and organizational development methodologies.\nCandidates must have demonstrated experience in aviation airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and certification documentation, including the issuance and/or approval of FAA Form 8130-3, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), Airworthiness Certificates, EASA Form 1, and other aviation regulatory release documents. Experience serving as an FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR), or performing equivalent delegated airworthiness and conformity inspection responsibilities, is highly desired.
