Performing qualification and monitoring of processes and products, coordinating preventive and corrective actions, leading internal audits and interfacing with regulatory authorities and external auditors.\nJOB RESPONSIBLITIES\nDesigns and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. \nAudits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. \nEnsures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. \nPrepares, compiles, and maintains all controlled documentation required for regulatory and policy compliance.\nMay specialize in the areas of product design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, product reliability, customer service, part warranty, inventory control, research and development or product packaging/delivery. \nPlan, direct, and coordinate all quality engineering functions for assigned product lines.\nDirect and coordinate the overall quality specifications and standards for materials, processes, and finished products to meet customer purchase order requirements\nProcess and Manage customer Corrective Action Requests investigation, response and closure including trending of defect data and implementation of corrective action\nManage Foreign Object program and provide metrics upon request \nSupport regulatory and quality management system compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures relating to product complaint handling, adverse event reporting and product field actions through development, maintenance and improvement of documented processes\nDevelop and implement daily quality metrics to drive manufacturing and business results\nPlan and supervise studies aimed at improving product quality and reliability\nContact customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality issues\nEnsure a means of collecting and distributing compiled information in order to improve quality\nResponsible for the administration of the quality system, including implementation and maintenance to regulatory requirements and standards such as applicable AS/ISO standards\nEnsure safe practices are used in compliance with all governmental regulations\nIdentify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production quality.\nConduct training to quality processes as needed\nResponsible for the Quality of all in-house manufactured products\nManages foreign country required documentation process and review.\nConfers with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes and solving quality issues. \nESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nEducation:\nB.A. / B.S. Engineering or 8-10 years of experience in aviation required without a degree.\nQuality Engineering preferred\nExperience:\nGenerally, 2-4 years of experience in a specialized functional discipline working in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment for aviation production\nDCMAI 8210.c knowledge dealing with documents in an engineering or manufacturing environment to present to DCMA\nDelmia MES experience desired\nMust have MRB QA knowledge \nMust be able to read technical documents\nMust have knowledge of Aircraft Documentation Delivery process\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nProficient in Excel, and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.\nSAP experience a plus \nAbility to understand work and procedures, acting in problem solving, suggesting improvements.\nExtensive knowledge of aircraft preferred.
