This ensures you will have access to the best and brightest minds in our industry to grow your experience and career within Emburse. \n\nEssential Functions \n\nTechnical \n7-9 years of testing experience in a software domain \nBroad knowledge of Computer Science concepts \nCodes in at least one language; Exposed to multiple languages, testing frameworks and tools \nInnovates with latest testing frameworks and enhances existing testing processes ○ Design, write and implement integration and components. UI test is not required o Understands how key systems interoperate and the business problems they solve and designs tests relevant to the complexity/risk/performance of each system/problem \nCollaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, AI/ML engineers and other stakeholders to design test and automation opportunities that measure or improve quality or customer experience of the products around AI models \nIdentifies and reports issues and defects of high quality/complexity with extensive research and evidence \nPairs with developers to design systems for testability and scalability ○ Executes tests, triages and analyses test results \nProcess \nSDLC processes are followed, including adopting agile-based processes/meetings, peer code-reviews, and technical preparations required for scheduled releases. \nFollows existing coding and test case management standards \nWrite moderately complex code/scripts to test systems, implementing test harnesses, load tests and test infrastructure as necessary \nOwns CI/CD process from Test to Prod \nDemonstrates proficient debugging and problem-isolation skills in production, test and development environments \nImpact \nFixes defects in automation, develops new test features or enhancements \nWrites tests of broad scope and complexity in their area \nContributes to API documentation \nParticipates in peer code reviews and contributes comments throughout the SDLC \nEstablishes and drives test plans for components \nIdentifies appropriate test methodologies for components \nIdentifies opportunities for automation and defines automation work for the product roadmap\nCommunication \n○ Learns industry jargon and business concepts to better understand the challenges our technology is designed to solve \n ○ Seeks mentorship and takes constructive advice from peers \n ○ Makes knowledge base contributions \n ○ Learns QA/automation industry practices and communicates and educates the team \n○ Build relationships with software development peers and pairs with developers for test planning \n\nEducation and Experience \n\nEducation:\nRequired: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years experience \n\nExperience:\nMinimum of 7 years professional experience in QA Engineering in software development environment \n\nCertifications: \nRequired: None \n\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications \nRequired Skills: \nProfessional experience working with a test automation framework in Python (e.g. Pytest, Playwright), or equivalent \nProfessional experience with SQL \nExperience designing, writing and executing manual test cases \nExperience working with source control (e.g. Git) \nFamiliar with AWS services \nGood understanding of agile application development lifecycle. ● Preferred: working in OS X and Linux environments \nPreferred: working in a scrum and DevOps environment. \nPreferred: Experience Test Driven Development and functional
