Ideal candidates share our company values of Always Go the Extra Mile, Teamwork, Continuously Improve and Drive Change and Take Initiative. \n\nJob Summary:\nThe Solutions Manager position executes the evaluation, recommendation and selection of lighting solutions for upcoming projects, along with creation of project proposals and supporting documentation. The Solutions Manager provides team direction and accountability for a variety of project proposal requirements including field audits, rebate incentives, material and labor costs, competitive pricing, and the management of timelines and deliverables. The Solutions Manager leads communication with internal EMC teams, business partners and clients during the execution of these proposal activities.\nEssential Job Functions:\nCollaborate with EMC teams to qualify customer opportunities and EMC’s ability to provide a successful solution\nIdentify and select Best-In-Class lighting technologies and solutions for upcoming projects\nEngage EMC Teams (Sales, Customer Solutions, Sourcing, Finance, Operations) to obtain relevant information for creating project proposals\nBuild quotes and proposals remotely as needed\nManage proposal timelines and quality, along with overall customer expectations\nProvide progress updates to project team as needed\nSupport RFP efforts from Solutions perspective\nAssist with utility incentives and EPAct 2005 preparation for specific proposals/projects\nProvide consistent responses and quality service to internal and external customers\nProactive identification and resolution of issues as they arise\nProvide leadership on the multiple customer opportunities concurrently.\nExecute project proposal package hand-off of awarded project to EMC Project Manager and provide support to ensure successful project implementation\nSupport sales as the Subject Matter Expert when proposals are presented to the client\nAttend industry and job training programs\nImprove and develop knowledge of lighting and controls technology.\nObtain industry recognized certifications\nBecome a cross-functional resource on the Solutions Management team to assist with both lighting design and audit functions\nTravel to project sites to determine scope of work and conduct audits as needed\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nSkills and Abilities:\nExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel used for tracking and analysis\nDetail-orientated, high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and hold project team accountable\nAbility to work as a part of a team as well as independently\nKnowledge of lighting and/or electrical products\nEducation:\nFour-year Bachelor’s degree\nExperience Required:\nLighting/electrical contracting/installation experience\nProject management, estimating and customer service experience\nExperience Preferred/Other Qualifications:\nCommercial construction experience a plus\nPhysical Job Requirements and Working Conditions:\nThe employee must occasionally lift or move office
