You will maintain all the inventory controls in the computer system and update them as required. You will negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing, delivery, and terms of purchase to ensure optimal order fill rates and high levels of customer satisfaction.\nTo experience success in the position, you will:\nRepresent the Profit Centre in a professional manner\nUphold our core values and ethics with every interaction\nBuild long-lasting and profitable vendor relationships by being courteous and engaging\nExpedite customer orders to keep customer satisfaction high\nBe analytical, detail oriented and solve problems\nBe an effective part of the team at the Profit Centre by collaborating with teammates to support ongoing business needs\nAdditional duties will include:\nAnalyze product on hand and projected sales\nCreate vendor purchase orders to maintain product mix, optimize material in the Profit Centre and satisfy projected sales\nCommunicate with warehouse teammates to monitor vendor shipments and receipts to ensure material arrives within the prescribed parameters established; expedite customer orders when required\nWork in conjunction with warehouse teammates to ensure timely delivery of products from vendors\nMeets or exceeds the Profit Centre targets for fill rate and stale inventory\nResearch and resolve inventory discrepancies which may include physically locating the product\nPerform system product file maintenance for the Profit Centre and work with Product Management Group when required for updates and changes\nNegotiate vendor returns, special buys and local rebate programs\nMaintain market intelligence and report pricing level changes, market conditions that may impact inventory levels\nCommunicate with Inside and Outside Account Managers about special customer requests\nCollaborate with teammates on current shortages/outages of products\nRegularly engage with teammates to gain insights on product preferences of customers\nEnsure all customer orders have been fulfilled to maintain compliance\nCancel orders that are no longer needed to ensure inventory accuracy\nPerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager\n What we are looking for from you:\nA minimum of 1 year of purchasing or inventory control experience\nAble to analyze sales and inventory data, and understand market trends to make informed purchasing decisions\nPossess strong negotiation skills\nAble to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates\nProficient in Microsoft Office software\nPossess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity\nAbility to work well independently and in a team setting\nPreferred Skills\nPrevious experience with or knowledge of products sold at the Profit Centre\nExperience working in wholesale\nExperience using M3\n Salary Range - $40-50,000 plus profit share\nEMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a discrimination, harassment, and barrier free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
