We are a team of enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to meeting and exceeding the needs of the customers we serve.\nAs a Sales Team Member, you will manage customer inquiries, prepare accurate and timely quotes, coordinate purchase orders, and ensure seamless communication between customers and internal teams. This role is responsible for delivering solutions that meet customer needs while maximizing business margin and ensuring strict adherence to company processes.\nAdditional duties will include:\nInterpret complex information including engineering packages to determine customer requirements and offer solutions that create high levels of customer satisfaction\nCreate accurate and professional quotations packages from customer specifications/drawings using applicable software\nNegotiate pricing and delivery terms with both vendors and customers; expedite orders when required\nPrepare accurate quotes based on tender documents and project specifications.\nCommunicate clearly with customers regarding quote timelines, missing information, and clarifications.\nFollow up with customers to ensure orders are filled properly and promptly\nInvestigate customer and vendor problems; resolve any pricing shortfalls and material returns in a timely manner\nManage drawing requests, updates, and revisions in coordination with PM and drafting team.\nTrack changes via Change Orders\nProvide complete handover packages to Production, including drawings, quotes, vendor details, Project Overview Form, and transmittal letters as required.\nSupport the Profit Centre team as an expert in the specifics around projects and product information\nCommunicate to the Profit Centre Manager and Credit Department any changes in a customer’s business that might cause a credit risk\nPerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager\n Grade 12 diploma or equivalent\nA minimum of 1 year of related experience - preferably in the construction industry\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office software\nPossess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity\nAbility to develop comprehensive product and product application knowledge\nExcellent customer service and sales experience\nStrong planning and organizational skills; ability to work under tight timelines and multiple deadlines\nStrong written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates\nEnergetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently\nAbility to learn and operate the applicable software \nIntermediate math skills\nPreferred Skills:\nPrevious experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre\nKnowledge of the construction industry\nPrevious sales experience \nEngineering skills are an asset\n Salary Range - $60,000 - $68,000 + Eligible for Profit Sharing\nWhy Join Our Team?\nEMCO Corporation is one of Canada’s largest integrated wholesale distributors of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products for the construction industry.
