Join an exciting new plumbing wholesale business serving East Hants County, opening in early 2027. As part of a small, dynamic team, you will play a key role in building the business from the ground up. Every team member will have the opportunity to contribute across all areas, from providing exceptional customer service and supporting sales growth to assisting with warehouse, logistics, and day-to-day operations. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact, develop new skills, and grow alongside the business.
As a Strategic Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 4 phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.
Additional duties will include:
Phase 1 -Warehouse and Customer Service
A focus on warehousing procedures, shipping and receiving, and counter support for customer transactions.
Phase 2 - Customer Relationships and Procurement
A focus on customer problem solving, relationship building with customers and vendors, and providing world class service.
Phase 3 - Account Management and Proactive Sales
A focus on business development and sourcing sales, expanding the customer base of the business and creating strong customer partnerships.
Phase 4 - Leadership and Operations
A focus on developing leadership competencies, supporting the team through coaching and mentoring, and setting vision and strategy.
- College and/or University degree
- Positive attitude and results oriented mindset
- Desire to continuously learn and grow
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
