We are a team of enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to meeting and exceeding the needs of the customers we serve.\n As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders as well as counting, verifying, receiving, and putting away incoming vendor material and customer returns. A high attention to detail will ensure exceptional levels of customer service and satisfaction.\nAdditional duties will include:\nFollow all Health and Safety rules and legislation while performing job functions\nLoad and unload trucks, operate forklift and other material handling equipment\nReceiving duties include:Upon unloading vendor shipments or customer returns, obtain the packing slip and verify material received. Note any discrepancies or damaged material\nPrint and verify the computer receiving documents and enter material received into the computer system\nIdentify special order material and damaged material and store in proper location\nNote all shipping discrepancies on freight carrier’s Bill of Lading, initiate freight claims and forward paperwork to appropriate teammate\n\nPicking, packing, and shipping duties include:Pick material for customer orders, counting and comparing items to the shipping documentation\nAssemble material and pack appropriately for pick up or shipment to customer\nComplete documentation for any shipments being delivered via third party carrier or requiring Transportation of Dangerous Goods documentationWork with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately\n\nNotify the team of any inventory discrepancies and damaged/defective material that would impact customer service levels\nMaintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other debris\nInform the Profit Centre Manager of any safety issues within the warehouse\nAssist teammates in servicing customers at the counter\nPerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager \n Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset\nA minimum of 1 year of experience with warehouse management and supervising a team\nA minimum of 2 years of material handling experience\nAbility to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment used within the Profit Centre\nValid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract\nPossess a strong work ethic and high standard of integrity\nAble to manage multiple projects in a fast paced and stressful environment\nAbility to develop comprehensive knowledge of product sold at the Profit Centre\nAbility to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders\nIntermediate math skills\n Why Join Our Team?\nEMCO Corporation is one of Canada’s largest integrated wholesale distributors of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products for the construction industry.
