The Accounting Projects & Integration Manager leads strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness, scalability, and consistency of the accounting function. This role serves as a key liaison between Accounting, Operations, IT, and acquired business units to drive successful integrations, implement process improvements, coordinate accounting-related training, and support the deployment of new technologies and systems.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nStrategic Projects & Process Improvement\nLead special projects that support the Accounting Department's strategic objectives.\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, efficiency, and data accuracy.\nDevelop and implement standardized accounting procedures across the organization.\nPartner with department leaders to streamline workflows and eliminate process bottlenecks.\nMonitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.\nAcquisition Integration\nLead accounting integration activities for newly acquired companies and business units.\nCoordinate the transition of accounting processes, financial reporting, internal controls, and policies into the company's operating framework.\nCollaborate with operational leaders to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption of accounting standards and procedures.\nAssist with due diligence and post-acquisition integration planning as needed.\nTrack and communicate integration progress to accounting and executive leadership.\nTraining & Operational Support\nDevelop and deliver accounting-related training programs for operational leaders and staff.\nCreate training materials, reference guides, and standard operating procedures.\nServe as a subject matter expert on accounting policies and procedures.\nSupport ongoing education initiatives to improve financial literacy and compliance across operations.\nSystems & Technology Implementation\nLead or participate in the implementation of accounting systems, ERP enhancements, and financial software solutions.\nCoordinate user acceptance testing, training, data validation, and system rollout activities.\nPartner with IT and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution.\nEvaluate existing financial systems and recommend enhancements to improve reporting and operational efficiency.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.\n5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or audit.\nExperience leading cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.\nExperience developing and delivering training programs.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.\nPreferred\nExperience with mergers and acquisitions integrations.\nExperience implementing ERP or financial systems.\nProject management certification (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar).\nExperience in multi-location or acquisitive organizations.\nKey Competencies\nProject Management\nProcess Improvement\nAccounting Operations\nTraining & Development\nSystems Implementation\nEffective Communication\nProblem Solving\nWork Environment\nOffice-based role. \nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
