Our fully integrated shop services include state-of-the-art technologies, engineering, design, manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, and repair.\nJob Summary\nOhmstede Ltd. is looking for a Bundle Shop Mechanic / Welder to perform the necessary tasks required to assist in the repair, retube, rebuild and fabrication shell & tube heat exchangers of various types and other process equipment associated with the Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical Processing Industry. T\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nStructural welding of bundle assemblies\nWelding processes performed: GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW\n Assemble tie rods and spacers on the bundle skeleton\n Hang the stationary tube sheets, poke tubes into baffle assembly\n Roll tubes placed into tube sheets and baffles\n Install bundle into shell if required.\n Perform hydrostatic testing of assembled units\n Load completed units onto flatbed trucks\n Make tube hole ID records, hydrotest results and dimensional records of exchangers\n Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices\n Perform internal quality control by applying acceptable boilermaker standards\n Set up and perform jobs based on shop practices and procedures\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nWorking knowledge of fabrication shop practice\nMust be able to read and write English\nMust be able to read and interpret drawings\nAccurately read and interpret measuring devices\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time\nMust be able to bend, push, pull, twist, squat, crawl, lift and reach overhead\nRequires the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds\nWork Environment\nWill work in heat, noisy, dusty, dirty, cold environment\nMay be exposed to chemicals and pinching hazards\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
